Everyone who lives in India or has been in India knows the plight of countless children on the streets, in shops and shared shelters. Even an economically, spiritually and culturally strong country like India faces an enormous challenge in bringing up these children of the next generation.

Our vision is to help children grow to their best potential. Our Core Values : People tend to regard parentless children and children from orphanages as unfortunate or with condescension. While such children do need sympathetic action and support, the attitude or lack of resources in many orphanages makes a negative impact on children's development. Shalom Academy is committed to the following core values and to enhancing the positive attributes of a child's upbringing by using the family as a model of caring for these children.

Unconditional loving

Happy children are able to accomplish more. By providing children at the Academy with family, friends and faith, they get to benefit from the love and guidance that comes from family members. This nurtures long-lasting relationships that help them overcome difficult/ emotional/ stressful life events.

Unequivocal learning

We are committed to instilling disciplined values and functional literacy in children to ensure that they become model citizens and great leaders of future India. Children are brought up with an emphasis on honesty, responsibility, and hard work. The organization also reflects these values through its highly dedicated team which exhibits a superior work ethic and performs activities that are transparent and auditable.
